Not The Pumpkin King, Part 2

Spider-Man deals with monsters and mutants and who-know-whats, but he’s not always battling anything as Halloween-specific as these pumpkin weapons, wielded by the Hobgoblin‚ who let’s face it, is pretty Halloween-specific himself. The pumpkin-full cover of The Amazing Spider-Man no. 244 (September 1983) is by the legendary John Romita Jr (pencils) with inks by Bob Wiacek. Maybe Halloween 2024 is a particularly good one for Spidey as it was just announced that he will be an all-new balloon for our next big holiday in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
