You’ve wandered into the topsy-turvy world of Tulgey Wood, the blog of writer and historian Jim Fanning. Tulgey Wood celebrates artistry and creativity (and sometimes just plain madness): movies, animation, TV, books, comics—and of course Disney, lots and lots of true-blue, through-and-through Disney, including D23 and Disney twenty-three Magazine, and Sketches Magazine and the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Tulgey Wood is so fun, fascinating and full of frolicsome photos and facts, it’s scary. So wander through the wonder of it all, and enjoy.

Walt Disney's Blockbuster Makes The Front Page Of The New York Times (in 1961)

Here's an fascinating artifact from the past—a Disney publicity piece centering on Walt Disney's The Absent-Minded Professor (1961). The zany comedy hit made page one of the New York Times on April 6, 1961, as it packed them in at the Radio City Music Hall. You can read all about this true Disney blockbuster in the article I wrote for here. And check back here tomorrow for some more "flubber-tastic" news.
