The October (when else??)1962 issue of Boy's Life brought forth this fun ad for the Universal Monsters Model kits from Aurora that many boys were going mad for. The monster models were introduced in 1962 so this boys' magazine (specially for Boy Scouts) got this off to a great start. But of course there were (and are) plenty of female Monster Kids, too.
