You’ve wandered into the topsy-turvy world of Tulgey Wood, the blog of writer and historian Jim Fanning. Tulgey Wood celebrates artistry and creativity (and sometimes just plain madness): movies, animation, TV, books, comics—and of course Disney, lots and lots of true-blue, through-and-through Disney, including D23 and Disney twenty-three Magazine, and Sketches Magazine and the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Tulgey Wood is so fun, fascinating and full of frolicsome photos and facts, it’s scary. So wander through the wonder of it all, and enjoy.

Halloween Is Peanuts Time

On October 2, 1950, the Peanuts comic strip made it's debut. The Great Pumpkin theme long ago made Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends an integral part of Halloween, and that makes this day an important element of the scary season. Here's some spooky, non-Great Pumpkin art, just to share things up: the cover of Peanuts # 25 (2015), covers by Paige Braddock and Vicki Scott. This Schulz-inspired art makes good use of Snoopy, combining his Beagle Scout and vulture personas. Hopefully this unusual art is suitably spooky for our Countdown to Halloween 2018.
