You’ve wandered into the topsy-turvy world of Tulgey Wood, the blog of writer and historian Jim Fanning. Tulgey Wood celebrates artistry and creativity (and sometimes just plain madness): movies, animation, TV, books, comics—and of course Disney, lots and lots of true-blue, through-and-through Disney, including D23 and Disney twenty-three Magazine, and Sketches Magazine and the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Tulgey Wood is so fun, fascinating and full of frolicsome photos and facts, it’s scary. So wander through the wonder of it all, and enjoy.

The Classic Movie History Project Blogathon Is Set To Start

This weekend I'm partricipating in what will undoubtedly prove to be a very fun and informative blogathon with a great deal of participation from a great many fascinating blogs. Starting tomorrow, The Classic Movie History Project Blogathon begins. The Silent Era (1890-1929) is hosted by Fritzi at Movies Silently, the Golden Age (1930-1952) is hosted by Aurora at Once Upon a Screen, and Swinging into Modern Times (1953-1975) is hosted by Ruth at Silver Screenings. Check out the posts from the many filmic blogs that are participating starting tomorrow—here's the complete roster—and be sure and check back here at Tulgey Wood on Sunday for my own contribution to The Modern Era's 1958-1962: Musicals, biblical epics and the shimmy-shimmy shakes, The Widescreen Splendor of Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty. PS The blogathon is being sponsored by Flicker Alley
